Country bread with Chèvre, Honey and Walnuts
This is a simple and tasty recipe that "everyone" will like - and all you need are 5 ingredients!
Chèvre can be substituted for another cheese, but we think this soft goat's cheese tastes great when warm.
Ingredients (4 pcs)
4 slices of fresh country bread
approx. 100-120 g chévre goat cheese
4 teaspoons Kjartan's Honey + extra for topping
a handful of crushed walnuts
1/2 pear in slices
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees with the upper grill function on. Cut the bread to desired thickness and spread a generous teaspoon of honey on each slice - it may be helpful to warm the honey a little to make this easier. Spread the chévre on the four bread slices and place the pear slices on top. Feel free to put a little extra honey on top of this.
Gratinate in the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese has a golden surface and the fruit is slightly soft.
